Extra supportThere are eight steps. For most of them you do not need to do anything.
You get a letter saying your home is part of a programme, what work is planned and roughly when. We then contact you to book a survey.
What you need to do
Nothing yet. If you have questions or the timing is bad, call us.
A surveyor visits to look at the roof, loft, meter and fuse box. It usually takes under an hour. Nothing is fitted on this visit.
What you need to do
Be at home, and clear a path to the loft hatch and meter cupboard. Tell us if you need extra support.
We plan the work for your home and send it to your landlord to approve. This can take a few weeks.
What you need to do
Nothing. Call us any time to ask how it is going.
We agree a date with you and confirm it in writing, with how many days the work will take.
What you need to do
Tell us if the date does not suit you, for example hospital appointments, night shifts, childcare or carer visits.
Our team arrives at the agreed time and shows you their ID card. They tell you what they are doing that day and when they expect to finish.

Keep your paperwork safe, and call us if you have a problem.
If your question is not here, please call us.
Extra support
Some homes need a different approach. That is normal. Here are some of the ways we can help.
More notice before we arrive, a reminder call the day before, and shorter working days. Where possible, the same team each day.
We keep ramps, stairlifts and level access doors clear, and work around your equipment and carer visits. Tell us which rooms must stay usable.
We can agree quieter hours, call before we knock, or arrange for someone you trust to be there. Where possible, we can send a female member of staff.
We can send information in large print or another language, or talk it through with you over the phone, free of charge.
Call us about anything to do with the work at your home. You do not need a reference number.
Once your programme starts, your liaison officer's name and direct number will be on your letter. Until then, call the number opposite.
